Hi, besides being a member of KMAA, I am the Outreach Coordinator for the Birmingham VA Medical Center and the Outpatient Clinics. It is my privilege to help locate Veterans that are not accessing their VA health care and assist them with taking advantage of their health care benefits. I have previously worked with the VA under the Mental Health Service in a rural community, providing individual and group therapy for Veterans.   Hearing the struggle of Veterans in Alabama is my driving motivation to assist all Veterans with accessing their health benefits.   

Veterans are often unaware of the numerous benefits of using the VA Medical Center and clinics. At the Birmingham VA it is our goal to provide superior health care to our Heroes.  We have numerous specialty clinics, prosthetic devices, research clinics and superior service providers.  However, we cannot help Veterans if they are not enrolled.  We want to take care of America’s Heroes and continue to strive to exceed their expectations.  A quote that has been attributed to Theodore Roosevelt “Nobody cares how much you know, till they know how much you care”.  If you are a Veteran, we want you to know that the VA strives to provide superior care for you because we truly care about you.
